Zucchini People Games
Zucchini People Games is an indie game company with a proven track record on producing a successful Kickstarter campaign. Their first project, Hero Brigade: The Deck-Building & Card-Battling Game was posted less than a year ago and received $13,566 beyond their initial goal of $5,000.
Plot and Setting
Zucchini People Games describes Eternal Dynasty as a game combining elements of Ticket to Ride, History of the World, Weiqi (Go), and Three Kingdoms style video games. Quite frankly, they had me at Go. It’s still one of my favorite games.
There is clearly a lot of historical influence in this game. The setting itself is Ancient China. Your goal is to gain political and military control of the country. Each round is equal to one generation, and the game play takes place over multiple generations and each generation is characterized by a player selected rulers. A ruler has various attributes attached to him or her, such as bonuses for military and political influence as well as special abilities.
Eternal Dynasty will require both strategy and luck as you battle against other feudal clans for control of the 18 provinces of Ancient China, but it looks like quite a bit of fun. If you would like a more detailed overview of the game play, Zucchini People Games has included the first 10 minutes of a sample play through as well as a video of the final scoring round.

Chances of success
Zucchini People Games has already produced one successful project, their project description is organized, and they have a proof of concept. In fact, the proof of concept looks more or less like a finished product to me. The artwork, especially the character design is clean and well thought out. All of these facts are good signs that their new project will succeed. Overall, I would be quite surprised if Eternal Dynasty: The Board Game of Generational Conquest were to fail.
