Game overview

Forum: http://geekerskeep.com/topic/maze-master-epic-card-game-2-players/

Maze Master: An Epic Card Game For 2 Or More PlayersAccording to Weaver Entertainment, Maze Master: An Epic Card Game For 2 Or More Players is a game where “[s]tone, zombies & even physics are merely obstacles to be surpassed as you build, and struggle through your maze to reach the prize” i.e. a relic. This feels somewhat like a D&D style game only each player is building the dungeon, with the intention of getting to the relic, as the game progresses.

Maze Master will be available in both a print and play and a physical versions. There are a number of different types of cards including basic action and advanced action cards. There are also special metallic cards, one of which is available as a bonus to people who backed the Double Six project. A full set of the rules can be found at Weaver Entertainment.

App

As one of the stretch goals, there is also a planned app version of the game. As someone who runs a gaming group that cannot always meet up in person, digital versions of tabletop games are a plus.

Kickstarter Specifics

Goal: £4,283
Pledge Levels: 9 levels ranging from £1 to £400
End Date: Fri, Mar 7 2014 5:00 PM EST

Chances of success

According to the campaign page, the art work is finished and the game mechanics have been play tested. The page gave a fair number of visuals as a proof of concept. This is important in any campaign. Besides the strong proof of concept, Weaver Entertainment also networked to gain added support. Giving a special bonus to those who backed Double Six, a campaign that did extremely well, should give the campaign the edge.
