Sometimes there just isn’t enough time to play a really involved game. I’m always looking for fast paced games to play and that are easy to learn. Every Round Counts looks like it will be one of those games.

Game overview
This is the third attempt by Stephen Head, Thirsty Knight Games to create a successful campaign for Every Round Counts. It’s a fast paced game with an estimated 20 minute average length. According to the campaign, an add-on can extend the number of players to 12. I’m not sure how this changes the amount of time it takes to finish the game.
In terms of artwork, the style seems very similar to munchkin, which is one of my favorites out of the commonly played tabletop games.
From the Campaign
You are a rookie bartender hired by the dwarven ex-adventurer Gorak Longbeard, who is the head bartender and owner of the Troll Head Tavern. Gorak has decided to run a competition: a simple competition in which the rookie bartender who serves the most beers keeps their job for another day!
Each player takes a turn being the dealer. Every player gets dealt five cards. There are three different types of cards: white, yellow, and red. The white cards are divided into customer cards, re-roll cards, and bonus cards. The customer cards show the player how many dice can be rolled, the re-roll cards allow you to re-roll a given number of dice, and the bonus cards can are cards which can be played against an opponent to hinder them.

Chances of success
Given that the artwork is already complete, a $1,000 initial goal is more than reasonable. The current version of the campaign already has more backers than the initial version and is roughly halfway to the number of backers that the second campaign was able to obtain.
The first version certainly lacked creator interaction. There were only two updates and they didn’t occur until late in the campaign. The second attempt showed a lot more interaction, both in regard to Stephen and the backers. If that interaction continues in the current version, I see no reason why the campaign wouldn’t blow past the initial goal.
One thing I noticed is that, in the video, you can clearly see Stephen wearing an “Every Round Counts” t-shirt. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like he’s made those t-shirts available as part of the campaign.
