Golem Arcana

By vasshu Leave a Comment Nov 16 0

Golem Arcana Hamazi Maelstrom

Golem Arcana is a digitally enhanced miniature wargaming platform. It has the full look and feel of a miniature wargame, but all of the mechanics can be performed on a digital system. Yes; in theory you could perform them manually, but why bother? The enhanced system makes it so much easier and it allows an entry point for people who are entirely new to the genre. If you would like to read the original crowd funding review, you can do so here.« Continue »

[Campaign Review] Legends of Rakasa: The Hunt for Glory

Legends of Rakasa Hunt For Glory

Legends of Rakasa is a tabletop adventure game set in a fantasy world. While its the Kickstarter campaign hasn’t really picked up much steam in the first couple of days, I think it has a lot of potential. It’s pretty obvious that the Vatcher brothers are good storytellers. While not yet as robust a mythos as Golem Arcana, I feel that the overall game play in Legends of Rakasa displays far more of its respective story than does Golem Arcana’s game play. You can read what they have so far on their webpage.« Continue »

[Campaign Review] Golem Arcana

Golem Arcana Hamazi Maelstrom

Golem Arcana is an upcoming game by Harebrained Schemes LLC. It’s a miniature war-game, but unlike other games of the genre, the mechanics are handled in software. This greatly reduces the learning curve of the game and also prevents accidental rule violations during the learning phase. It also means that gamers will have access to virtual content along with the physical units. The units in Golem Aracana consist of Golems, Golem Knights, Blood Knights, and Ancient Ones. The Knights control the physical Golems on the board and Ancient Ones are virtual characters that provide support during the game. Interaction with the software is facilitated by the use of a special stylus.« Continue »
